How Energy healing found me?
Since I can remember I was interested in the unknown, energy healing techniques, the chakra system, mediumship, tarot, the universe, angels, you name it, I loved it all. I always felt drawn to shamanic practices and a simple life but back then I also had a lot of cultural conditioning in my life, so many programs from society were running in my mind.
Expectations from family, culture and my own expectations in life were priority. I basically was disconnected from who I really was.
I remember the first time I saw a Medium back when I was 22 years old, a junior designer for a big advertising agency in Lima, Peru. My career was only starting. My boss at the time was a Reiki practitioner and so she introduced me to that world and thanks to her I went to my first Chakra alignment and to see a Medium. I was beyond excited!
This woman looked different, like a galactic empress, like a being from the Pleiades, her eyes were the bluest, lightest eyes I’ve ever seen and they were deep like the ocean, bright like gems. She had super long red hair and wore white clothes.
She told me straight away –Your aura is bright green and big! You have healing energy–
I was like …me? A healer?
She said yes, you could take classes like those people, and she pointed to the next-door class. That got me thinking but back then I was not thinking about a spiritual career so that thought of “healing energy” and taking classes was put aside but I never forgot it. Fast forward to 2016
I was a corporate graphic designer in Sydney, Australia and the universe started calling me again. At my workplace I met two Reiki practitioners within a week and when I started a new design contract the girl sitting next to me was also studying Reiki! I though, –Ok this is a sign. I need to find out more!–
Within a month I was a Reiki I practitioner, Reiki II came soon after, then life happened and only 5 years later I would complete Reiki Master teaching level in NYC with Sarang healing, my teacher and a dear friend.
Over the years, the universe called me many times, people crossed my path to show me signs, snippets of information that were guiding me will show up and many times I turned my head to the other side.
It took me years to start listening to the signs. That changed after I experienced a deep spiritual awakening that shook me to my core and also made me question everything in my life. The ‘Great pause’ came as a blessing for me…quiet time…. That was the bend on my life road that led me to accept my purpose, to say yes and surrender to the universe and to really dive deep into my own personal healing, realignment with the source energy of the universe and my journey back to Pachamama.
Now, what can you learn?
There’s no such thing as one person was born with a gift of healing energy and another didn’t. We all have the potencial of developing different healing habilities. Even the person that you think could never do it, it might, one day. You would be surprise when you hear stories of teachers an how they started.
A lot of people avoid a path to spirituality because of cultural conditioning, belief systems and society expectations. Maybe they grow up hearing stories about spirituality that were lead by fear to the unknown or they don’t have access to information and education.
We live in a fortunate time, accessing information is literally at the end of our finger tips. If you are curious and drawn to spiritual topics I encourage you to go deep, learn, explore and then make up your own points of views and opinions. Always remember than information is a powerful tool. Nowadays ignorance is a choice.
